The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has clarified that an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) was involved in a mishap in Kaduna, debunking earlier reports of a helicopter crash.

According to a statement by Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, NAF spokesman, the UAV experienced a mishap after take-off for a mission near Rumji Village, about 15 Km from the base. Fortunately, there were no casualties as it was an unmanned vehicle.

A preliminary investigation has commenced to determine the cause of the incident. The NAF assured that this minor setback will not affect ongoing operations.
