Many people have been feared dead after a two-storey building collapsed in Anambra.
According to an eyewitness, the building, which reportedly house shop owners and traders at the Amawbia market in Awka, the Anambra State capital, suddenly went down on Thursday noon, July 4, burying many traders underneath it.

Reacting to this incident, traders who witness the collapse blamed the use of substandard materials, while alleging that the structure of the building had been compromised.

According to PUNCH, the spokesperson of the no death has been confirmed yet, but two people rescued from the rubbles have been rushed to Amawbia Maternity Home for urgent medical attention, but many more are believed to be trapped inside the wreckage.
