The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested ten (10) suspects on Friday, January 29, for alleged involvement over cyber fraud also popularly known as ‘Yahoo-Yahoo’.
Confirming the arrest, a statement from the Nigerian anti-graft agency states that the suspects were apprehended at their Academy in Bwari axis of Abuja, where they were learnt to be learning cyber fraud.
The suspects aged between 20 and 30 were identified as Chijioke Ikwuoha, Yahaya Usman, Ibrahim Yunusa, Victor Asuquo, Samuel Ogboche, Victor Samuel, Dapet Nimshak, Isalan Johnny, Moses Samuel and Sixtus Jude.

They were also nabbed with different incriminating items such as computers and mobile phones.
While the promoter of the Academy is still at large, investigations showed that the alleged sponsor and prime suspect recruits and train young individuals who shows interest in ‘Yahoo-Yahoo’.
The sponsor gets his percentage of the recruits earning based on an agreement between the two parties, as he also serves as a conduct for laundering the money gotten from duped clients.
Further investigations has commenced as the apprehended suspects will be duly prosecuted within the auspices of law.
