Rema Defends Inclusion in Afrobeats Elite, Rejects Comparison to Big 3

Rema

Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, known as Rema, has expressed his frustration over criticism suggesting he is not on par with Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

Rema addressed the backlash stemming from his tweet declaring a “Big 4” instead of the traditional “Big 3” in his new song ‘Hehehe,’ released by Mavin Global Holdings on Monday morning.

Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido are widely acknowledged as top Nigerian/Afrobeats artists, collectively known as the “Big 3.” Rema contends that he deserves a spot among Afrobeats megastars, asserting, “No more big 3, there’s now a big 4. People may criticize, but that’s insulting.”
