Vigilante Shoot 50-Year-Old Disabled Man in Osun | Daily Report Nigeria

Operatives of the vigilante group have been called out after reportedly shooting a 50-year-old man in Osun state.

According to reports,the man, identified as Musbau was shot in the early hours of Wednesday, July 3, in the Arimoro neighborhood in Ilesa, Osun state.

Musbau is said to be a father of two, who clears bushes and fathers snails to sell to his family.

Daily Report Nigeria gathered that he was shot in the leg on Wednesday when he was searching for snails, and was accused by the vigilante operatives of being a thief, abd that his accomplices ran away

A witness said;

“He did not run away. He was asked to kneel down, and he obeyed them. I still do not know why they shot him in the leg despite obeying their directive”, a source disclosed.

“Musibau is currently at Oasis, a private hospital in Ilesa, receiving treatment for gunshot wounds”,

The Divisional Police Officer of Division ‘A’ Ayeso Police Command, SP Titilope, while speaking to Within Nigeria said

“We are aware of the situation, and the investigation has been commendable,”
