Officers of the Rivers state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), have arrested a man for the alleged defilement of a minor.
The man, 45, who is also said to be an electrician was alleged to have defiled a 2 year-old girl at Gada Street, Ogbumnabali, Port Harcourt.

It was gathered that the father of the girl got wind of the situation while bathing her, as she cried uncontrollably that her private part was paining her.
He further persisted to know what had happened, and she told him what happened, and even pointed at the shop she was molested, and how the suspects allegedly touched and rob her v@gina in his shop when nobody was around.
The child also took her father to the shop where she was allegedly def!led which is located in front of the girl’s compound.

Reacting to the development, the single father, whose wife had died during child birth lodged a complaint at the Old GRA Police Division and the officers on ground immediately moved and arrested the suspect.
Confirming the arrest, the spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the suspect has been transferred to State CIID, Port Harcourt for more information and prosecution.
