Afrobeats singer Anthony Victor, popularly known as Victony, opened up about his experience with heartbreak on the podcast “Is This Seat Taken?” hosted by actress Chinasa Anukam.
Victony recounted how discovering the truth about his ex-girlfriend’s relationship with another man left him feeling both “mad” and “stupid.” He explained that his ex had lied, claiming the other man was just a friend, but she was actually cheating on him.
“She [my ex-girlfriend] was talking to this other guy, and I was aware. She told me he was her friend, and I was very open-minded about it,” Victony said. “But his name kept coming up, and I started to wonder what kind of friend this was. Eventually, I found out he wasn’t just a friend. When I realized everything that was going on, I felt very stupid.”

The 23-year-old singer shared that this heartbreak occurred when he was much younger.
