Residents have been thrown into panic and confusion following the series of abduction in Akwa Ibom state.
Recall that a driver, alongside 17 other passengers were abducted by unknowns gunmen in Akwa Ibom few days ago
In recent events, gunmen have abducted eight persons, including a Naval Rating in Mbo Local Government Area of the state at the Classic Point Hotel, Ibaka, where they were relaxing.

Speaking on the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State Command ASP Timfon John, when speaking to Punch said;
“When the police got the information the Commissioner of Police, CP Waheed Ayilara, led a team of security personnel to the community. I can assure you that with that visit by the CP and other strategic approaches normalcy will return.”
However, the Naval authority in Akwa Ibom is yet to speak on the development.
