JUST IN: FG Bans Admission Of Underage Students Into Tertiary Institutions | Daily Report Nigeria

The federal of Nigeria has issued a ban on the admission of students less than the age of 18 into tertiary institutions in the country.

While releasing a statement on Thursday, the Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman during the 2024 policy meeting of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

He added that the Federal government is considering the adoption of 18 as the legal and required age for admission into higher institutions in the country.

“JAMB is hereby notified that there is now a ban on underaged students, those under the age of 18 into our tertiary institutions from this 2024 admissions,” Mamman said.
