Gbaramatu Current Affairs Magazine Set For Launch | Daily Report Nigeria

The Gbaramatu Current Affairs a magazine on the Ancient Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, is set for release.

The introductory issue of the informative magazine, purposed to educate the public about the kingdom, tell a better story of the ancient land and create awareness among the Gbaramatu people, features history of the kingdom, notable events and personalities, facts and information. According to the publisher, Barr. Ekpemupolo Frank, “the magazine is aimed at educating and informing Gbaramatu indigenes and non-indigenes about the ancient kingdom”.

Gbaramatu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, has as its headquarters, Oporoza Community. The Kingdom is home to the Nigeria Maritime University (NMU) Okerenkoko, with the takeoff site at Kurutie community.

Gbaramatu also takes pride as host to many International Oil Companies (IOCs), as well as other national and foreign brands.

The Kingdom is under the traditional rule of the Pere, His Royal Majesty, Oboro Gbaraun II (JP), Aketekpe, Agadagba, who is the holder of the highest traditional authority. Gbaramatu is home to the former deputy governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Dcn. (Barr.) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, who hails from Okerenkoko community; the speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, from Oporoza; and the prominent Niger Delta leader, High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo who is from Oporoza.
