Former Super Eagles midfielder Sunday Oliseh has identified one Premier League club he believes will excel in the upcoming season. Oliseh is backing Aston Villa for success, especially following their recent signing of Amadou Onana from Everton.
Villa confirmed the acquisition of the Belgian international this week. Unai Emery’s team will be participating in the Champions League for the first time since the 1982/1983 season.
In addition to Onana, Aston Villa has bolstered their squad with former Chelsea forward Ross Barkley, Ian Maatsen, Samuel Illing-Junior, Enzo Barrenechea, Lewis Dobbin, Cameron Archer, and Jaden Philogene.

Oliseh expressed his confidence in the team’s potential for the coming season, stating, “This transfer deal has the potential to take Unai Emery’s Aston Villa to a totally different level. Be smart, don’t you dare bet against Villa this season,” he posted on X.
There are also reports that Aston Villa is interested in signing Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho.
