The Department of State Security Services (DSS) has arrested a 100-level student of the University of Ibadan, Ikhuemoisa Adeoluwa Igaga, over his alleged involvement in the forthcoming #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest.
According to sources, the DSS intercepted a telephone conversation between Igaga and his father, Comrade Mike Igaga, discussing the planned protest.
The secret police then handed Igaga over to the university’s security unit, which detained him.
A source revealed, “The Abuja DSS sent the phone call they spied to Ibadan DSS to arrest the boy. Can you imagine that in a democracy?”

Igaga, a student of Computer Science, is currently writing a statement at the UI security unit and has been asked to return on Monday.
His arrest follows a pattern of DSS crackdowns on youths involved in the planned protest, including the recent release of Aliyu Sanusi in Sokoto State and Engineer Khalid Aminu in Kaduna State.
Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore confirmed the releases on social media.
