Nigerians have reacted after a group of thugs threaten residents against participating in the August 1 protest.
In a video posted online, a group of thugs could be seen sending warnings to market women and men to desist from joining the planned August 1-10 hardship protest, adding that it might lead to more destruction than the former 2020 EndSARS protest.

In the video, the men could be seen saying:
“Anybody that is confident should come out on Thursday to protest. Are you the only one hungry? If you dare come out for the protest, you will be mercilessly dealt with,”
