Veteran Nigerian singer, Onyeka Onwenu, has reportedly passed away after slumping at a birthday party in Lagos. According to eyewitnesses, she was rushed to a hospital but could not be saved.
The sad incident occurred on Tuesday at a birthday party where Onwenu had performed earlier.
An eyewitness who was present at the party confirmed the news, saying, “It is very sad. Onyeka Onwenu just performed at a birthday today, and after performing, she slumped. She was taken to a hospital and she couldn’t make it.”
The family of the deceased is yet to release an official statement regarding the situation.
