Popular singer Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, has claimed that his twin brother, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P, was responsible for his recent arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In a recent interview with City FM in Lagos, Rudeboy revealed that Mr. P had filed a petition with the anti-graft agency, accusing him of fraudulent activities.
Despite a thorough investigation by the EFCC, which ultimately cleared Rudeboy of all allegations, Mr. P has refused to apologize for the false accusations.
“This year, I was invited by the EFCC after they received a petition against me from my twin brother. I never thought our issues would escalate to this level. I assumed it was just about music,” Rudeboy explained.

“When I arrived at the EFCC office, they had already printed all my account statements and asked me to explain every transaction. People were telling me I could go to jail for 20 years. Initially, I wondered what would have happened if I was actually involved in fraud. But I cooperated and went through the investigation. Eventually, they asked me to get a lawyer and sureties, which made me realize how serious it was.
“One month ago, they called me, my twin brother, and our elder brother Jude Okoye, and said, ‘After a thorough investigation, Paul is innocent. He is cleared of all allegations.’ Despite being proven innocent, my twin brother has not apologized for the false accusations,” Rudeboy recounted.
