The Federal Government has urged Nigerians to hold State, and Local Governments accountable for the constitutionally allocated funds.
FG revealed that the funds are usually shared among Federal, State, and Local Governments, and it is the responsibility of each tier to utilize their shares effectively.
The Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris made the revelations during his recent appearance on the popular Brekete Family Show in response to criticism directed at President Bola Tinubu.

Idris explained that the funds allocated to States and Local Governments are to be used for local projects such as maintaining gutters, schools, and hospitals.

He revealed that since December, Governors have received over N570bn in additional support, aside from their monthly allocations.
