The recent #EndBadGovernance protests caused some oil marketers to temporarily halt the supply of petroleum products, aiming to safeguard their assets from potential damage.

Reports indicated that marketers were advised to close their stations during the protest to prevent losses.

Many tankers refrained from loading products during the initial days of the protest, causing a disruption in the supply chain.

The refrainment led to shortages in states where the products were intended to be delivered even after the National President of IPMAN, Abubakar Maigandi, encouraged independent marketers to operate normally.

Maigandi had requested security agencies to protect their facilities and prevent vandalism of marketers’ properties during the protest.

Reports indicated that several states, including Lagos, Abuja, Katsina, and Delta, experienced varying degrees of fuel scarcity on Sunday.
