Militants Threaten to Unleash Major Attacks on Nigeria's Oil, Gas Installations

The high command of the Renewed Niger Delta Avengers (RENDA) has issued a dire warning to the Nigerian government and multinational oil companies operating in the Niger Delta region.

In a press statement titled “HAPPY DOOMED DAYS AHEAD NIGERIA; GET READY FOR OPERATION BRINGING DOWN FPSO AND GAS PLANTS,” and read by General Gabon-Tony, the spokesperson for RENDA, the militant group declared its intention to launch a series of deadly attacks on deep-sea oil operations and gas plants if their agitations were not met.

The group claimed that it had finalized arrangements to strike within the coming days, targeting key installations such as Agbami, EA Field, Britania-U Field, and Akpo Field, among others.

“This round of attacks will be the most deadly and will be targeting the deep sea operations of the multinationals,” the statement continued.

“As for the Gbarein Gas Plant, we mean it when we say they shall dance to the sound of the fury of the Renewed Niger Delta Avengers. Good a thing the ocean is wide enough to accommodate as many wrecks as possible.”

RENDA also revealed that it had met with its sponsors and foreign backers to discuss the current state of Nigeria, characterized by widespread killings, division, and severe hunger, particularly in the Niger Delta region.

“It was agreed in that meeting that the killings and division presently playing out in Nigeria along divergent grounds, the hunger in land, which makes our Niger Deltans region hostile and many dying of hunger makes this the perfect time to restructure this country,” the statement said.

The group issued two specific demands: the restructuring of Nigeria and the restoration of the petroleum pump price to its original rate within seven days. Failure to meet these demands, they warned, would result in unprecedented violence and economic disruption.

“While promising a brutal outpour of our wrath, which shall shake the coffers of the failed Nigerian nation, our demand unambiguously is for the government to: 1. RESTRUCTURE THIS COUNTRY; 2. Restore the petroleum pump price to the original pump price within 7 days from now or else Nigeria will feel our fury,” General Gabon-Tony declared.
