Afrobeats star Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, recently shared that Grammy-winning artist Wizkid has been a significant inspiration in his music career.
Mr Money expressed his admiration for the “Ojuelegba” singer while discussing their collaboration on his newly-released third studio album, Lungu Boy.
On the note accompanying their track “MMS” on digital streaming platforms, he revealed his long-standing desire to work with Wizkid. He wrote, “It’s no secret that Wizkid is one of my music inspirations. As a young, striving artist in Lagos, I’ve been waiting for the right song, so when the opportunity came, it was a no-brainer.”
Asake explained that “MMS” stands for “Mr Money Sound,” reflecting his signature style.
