In a daring rescue operation, operatives from the Forward Operations Base (FOB) Bonny in Rivers State have successfully saved 59 individuals stranded on a dredging vessel at the mouth of the Opobo River.

The Nigerian Navy’s spokesman, Aiwuyor Aliu-Adams, revealed that the base received a distress call about the vessel, MV AMBIKA 4, which was in danger of sinking due to turbulent waters.

Led by Lieutenant Commander Gideon Gwaza, a 10-man armed team was dispatched in two interceptor boats to rescue the stranded workers.
