President Bola Tinubu is expected to convene a meeting of the Council of State on August 13, 2024.

Reports indicated that the meeting will take place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The Council of State is an advisory body to the executive arm of the Nigerian government.

It is composed of past presidents, state governors and other notable figures. The council’s primary function is to provide advice on policy making.
