Operatives of the Police Force, Lagos state have arrested a man for allegedly killing his 8-year-old son.

According to reports, the suspect was said to have been angered after his son misplaced a sewing thread that belongs to him, and he afterwards doused a keg of petrol on his son.

It was gathered that the petrol took a bad turn on the son, and he began to vomit white substances.

The suspect reportedly gave his son some oil to drink so as to Neutralize the pain of the petrol on his body. The boy reportedly lost consciousness and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival by the doctors.

Confirming the incident to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said an autopsy would be carried out on the deceased, while his father,the suspect will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Yaba for further investigation.
