Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has sworn in five new commissioners and two special advisers at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

During the ceremony, Fubara urged the newly appointed officials to maintain their focus and dedication to the administration’s objectives, despite potential provocations from political opponents.

He stated that the appointments are aimed at enhancing the cabinet’s capacity to deliver on its promises to the people of Rivers State.

The governor charged them that the people of the state are more interested in seeing results than in political disputes or court judgments.

Fubara also appreciated the appointees’ dedication to truth and justice in their respective localities.

The newly appointed commissioners, who were screened and confirmed by the Rivers State House of Assembly, include Samuel Anya, Ilamu Arugu, Rowland Obed-Whyte, Samuel Eyiba, and Austin Emeka Nnadozie. The Special Advisers are Achor Nna and Forgiven Amachree.

Fubara specifically tasked Samuel Anya, who served as his adviser on non-indigenes, with promoting unity among residents from various parts of the country.
