A 17-year-old boy from Saki, Oyo State has been applauded after his outstanding WAEC result surfaced online.

Waheed Muhammed Adeyemi, a student of Baptist Medical Centre Secondary School, aced his WAEC with straight A’s in eight out of the nine subjects he took.

The result was shared online by an X user, Omo Akin, who wrote: “A Yorùbá Excellence! Y’all meet Waheed Muhammed Adeyemi, a 17-year-old from Saki, Oyo State, who scored A’s in all subjects in the WAEC Examination. No special centre. No result manipulation. No fraudulent act. No victimhood. Just a Yorùbá boy with a functioning brain.”

Netizens have reacted to the post, with many congratulating Waheed on his outstanding performance.

One user, @LoseyiFam1883, said: “I saw a tweet somewhere yesterday when a man promised to give scholarships to A’s candidates.”

Another user, @harriz_keyz, commented: “Something we dey run without giving a dam about appearing on social media. Congratulations to him though.”
