A 58-year-old man has died while undergoing a 19-day dry fasting in the Alagbado area of Lagos State.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident on Tuesday, stating that no foul play is suspected.
According to Hundeyin, the deceased’s younger brother reported the incident at the Alagbado Police Division on Monday at 7 pm, stating that his brother had died while undergoing the dry fasting.
The family has requested to convey the corpse for burial.
The incident occurred on Monday at 6:00 am, and the police have confirmed that no foul play is suspected.
