Police Intervenes As Man Attempts Su!cide Over N1.2m Debt | Daily Report Nigeria

The police force, Anambra division have rescued a young man after he attempted suicide in Anambra State.

According to reports, the man, identified as Alozie John, 27, who hails from Isielu LGA, had attempted suicide by consuming an harmful substance over a N1.2 million debt.

Confirming the incident to newsmen, the spokesperson of the command, Tochukwu Ikenga, said the Alozie was rescued after information reach them concerning jis consumption of the harmful substance with the intention of dying.

It was gathered he owed the sum of one million, two hundred thousand Naira to his supplier of livestock products.

“He further confessed that he deals with selling live Chicken and after he took the harmful chemical did not feel otherwise,” he said

He further said the Alozie’s mother had been contacted for further assistance and transfer of the boy to a better facility for proper and other necessary care of the boy
