NPFL Increases Referees’ Salaries by 50% to Boost Officiating Standards

The Nigeria Premier Football League has raised the salaries of its match officials by 50 percent. NPFL Chairman Gbenga Elegbeleye announced this increase, aiming to enhance the fairness and credibility of officiating in the league.

Elegbeleye also mentioned that discussions are underway to arrange air travel for referees and players to further support the league’s operations.

The new season will kick off on Saturday with defending champions Rangers facing off against EL-Kanemi Warriors.
