Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes believes Liverpool could be the team to challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title this season. Scholes shared his thoughts after watching Liverpool’s convincing 3-0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Luis Diaz scored twice in the first half, with Mohamed Salah assisting both goals. Salah then added a third after the break to seal the win.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Paul Scholes said, “The Liverpool squad has shown real dominance. They could really challenge for the Premier League title this year, even after just three games.

Before the season started, I thought Arsenal might be the team to give City a run for their money, possibly even win it. But after watching the first three games, I think Liverpool could surpass Arsenal. I believe they are a team that can genuinely compete with City, without a doubt.”
