Operatives of the Rivers state police command have arrested one, while another is currently on the run for the alleged gang raping of a 14-year-old-girl in the state.
Reports reaching Daily Report Nigeria shows that the victim, name withheld was sent on an errand to her older brothers house, and while walking along a lonely road, she was ambushed by the suspects, identified as Honest and Okeukwe, and taken to a house where they took turns in raping her.

The mother of the victim raised alarm when she discovered that the minor never got to the older brother’s house, and men of the vigilante group in the community sprung into action.
She was later found in a house where the brothers had raped her.
The older brother was arrested and handed to men of the Egi Police Division Headquarters in Obite, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA while the younger brother fled the scene and is currently at large.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko said the police has launched an investigation into the matter, and more efforts are made to apprehend the fleeing younger brother.
