The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited is set to become the initial exclusive buyer of Dangote refinery products.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the Dangote Refinery has commenced processing Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.

The refinery has a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day and will roll out petrol in the coming weeks after its testing stage.

“We are testing the product (gasoline) and subsequently it will start flowing into the product tanks.

“If no one is buying it, we will export it as we have been exporting our aviation jet fuel and diesel.”

While Edwin did not specify when the product will hit the market, he revealed that if there are no buyers, the refinery will export the petrol, as it has been doing with aviation jet fuel and diesel.
