The chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Akure South, Ondo State, Oluwatuyi Olasoji, has tragically passed away.
According to reports, Olasoji collapsed while queuing to purchase Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) at a filling station in the state capital last week.
He was rushed to the Federal Medical Center in Owo, where he underwent surgery but sadly succumbed to his condition on Monday.

Motorists are growing increasingly frustrated, while commuters are being left stranded due to skyrocketing transport fares.
Despite earlier assurances from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited that the fuel shortage would soon subside, the situation remains dire.
The NNPC attributed the scarcity to market forces, stating that petrol prices are now determined by supply and demand rather than government regulation.
NNPC also cited the exchange rate as a key factor influencing fuel prices.
