Anthony Joshua Reveals Cristiano Ronaldo’s Advice Led to His Proudest Career Moment

Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua has revealed that one of the proudest moments of his boxing career came after he followed advice from football legend Cristiano Ronaldo. Joshua, who is gearing up for a major fight against Daniel Dubois at Wembley for the IBF World Heavyweight title, spoke about how Ronaldo’s influence extended beyond the football field.

Ronaldo, known for his exceptional dedication to fitness and his remarkable longevity at the age of 39, currently plays in the Saudi Pro League. It was in Saudi Arabia that Joshua and Ronaldo crossed paths, following Joshua’s knockout victory over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh back in March.

In a recent interview with TNT Sports, Anthony Joshua was asked about the details of his conversation with Ronaldo after the fight. The boxer shared that Ronaldo gave him valuable advice on his feeding and training regimen, which he decided to follow. According to Joshua, Ronaldo emphasized the importance of rest and recovery, suggesting that getting enough sleep is key to maintaining peak physical condition.

Anthony Joshua went on to say that the proudest moment of his career came when he implemented Ronaldo’s advice and managed to get a solid seven hours of sleep, something he hadn’t always prioritized in the past. Reflecting on the experience, he said, “The regimen he keeps to stay healthy is impressive. After taking some of his recommendations, I managed to get seven hours of sleep, and that felt like my proudest moment to date.”
