A viral video featuring a member of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry has ignited widespread outrage after she claimed to have received divine help during a military promotional examination.
The unidentified woman detailed her testimony during a church service, alleging that an old man appeared to her in the exam hall and provided her with answers to difficult questions.
In her account, she explained that out of 50 questions, the challenging ten asked for the names of ten Francophone countries and their capitals. “Brethren, nobody knew this question,” she stated. After invoking her faith, she claimed the old man instructed her to begin writing, and upon returning her apron, the figure reappeared, allowing her to complete her answers.
Bishop Stephen Adegbite, Chairman of the Lagos chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), expressed shock at the testimony, labeling it a fabrication.

He emphasized that true academic success comes through hard work and faith, not shortcuts. “God doesn’t act that way,” he stated, critiquing the notion that divine intervention could manifest in such a manner.

The controversial testimony has drawn attention to previous similar incidents involving church members sharing extraordinary claims. CAN plans to convene next week to discuss these issues and establish guidelines for acceptable testimonies.
Pastor Chidi Louis, the church’s Head of Public Relations, defended the testimony, claiming it reflects the personal experiences of members, which should not be censored.
He dismissed allegations of doctored videos and reiterated the church’s stance on allowing free expression of personal testimonies.
