In a thrilling boxing match at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, Daniel Dubois defeated Anthony Joshua with a fifth-round knockout, retaining his IBF world heavyweight title.

The 27-year-old British professional boxer demolished Joshua, a two-time world champion, in front of a packed crowd of 96,000 fans. Dubois floored Joshua thrice in the first three rounds before finishing him off after 59 seconds in the fifth round.

“I’ve only got a few words to say: Are you not entertained?” Dubois asked the crowd after his biggest win. “I’m a gladiator, I’m a warrior to the bitter end. I want to get to the top level of this game and reach my full potential.”

Joshua, 34, was gracious in defeat, saying, “Credit to him and his team. We rolled the dice at success and we came up short. I’m pissed, but I’ll keep my cool and give respect to my opponent.”

The win improves Dubois’ record to 21-3 and sets him up for a potential fight against the winner of the December 21 bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.
