Elections: Ganduje Unfolds Plan to Win Anambra, Ondo, Others with Edo Strategy | Daily Report Nigeria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, has declared that the party will employ the same strategy that won them the Edo State governorship election to conquer the South-East geopolitical zone.

Ganduje, who spoke during a celebration of Senator Monday Okpebholo’s win in Abuja, emphasized the importance of having control over the region, which is currently governed by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

“We have started working to develop strategies to win these states. Next year, Anambra State will follow. Let me remind you that we have a project which we named political demarginalization of South East geo-political zone. That project is also a task that must be done,” Ganduje said.

He added, “We will face the southeast zone with five states. We already have 2, but 2 is too small for a big party like ours. We will face that state and see how we can recover many states in our favour.”

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the results of the recent Edo State Governorship election and is heading to court.

The PDP’s Acting National Chairman, Amb. Umar Damagum, expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome and alleged that there were prior warnings of plans to manipulate the electoral process.

“INEC must retrace its steps and ensure that the will of the people is honored,” Damagum said.
