Liverpool Moves to the Top of Premier League with Slim Victory

Liverpool will head into the next round of Premier League fixtures at the top of the table after securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Wolves on Saturday evening.

Under the guidance of Arne Slot, the team knew that a win would propel them to the top position.

Earlier in the day, Manchester City had settled for a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United, while Arsenal claimed a 4-2 victory over Leicester City.

These results left both City and Arsenal tied for second place with 14 points each.

However, Mohamed Salah who has announced his last season at the club decisive penalty in the second half allowed Liverpool to move ahead with 15 points.

Despite Rayan Ait-Nouri equalizing for Wolves after Ibrahima Konate had initially given Liverpool the lead. Chelsea is currently in fourth place with 13 points.
