Blogger Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, recently revealed how he obtained a controversial phone recording involving cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.
Otse made the disclosure during a session with a House of Representatives panel investigating allegations of bribery involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
The panel, which includes the Committees on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions, is investigating claims of corruption within the EFCC and NCoS, as brought forward by the blogger. During the session, personnel from both agencies were also present.

Initially, VeryDarkMan refused to address the committee because Bobrisky, who had also been invited, did not appear in person but instead sent a lawyer. Despite his protest, the lawmakers compelled him to speak on the voice recording he released.
Even though the committee threatened to invoke its legislative powers to arrest him, VeryDarkMan insisted that his lawyer should speak on his behalf. However, he did confirm the authenticity of the audio, explaining that it had been obtained from someone to whom Bobrisky owed money.
In a viral video, VeryDarkMan accused Bobrisky of paying N15 million to the EFCC to drop money laundering charges after his naira spraying incident in April, which led to a six-month prison sentence. He also claimed Bobrisky paid additional millions to secure favorable conditions in prison.
