The Egyptian provided a pinpoint assist for Alexis Mac Allister, who scored the first goal for the Reds.

Mo Salah then sealed the win with a trademark curling shot from inside the box, taking him past former Chelsea forward Didier Drogba, who held the previous record with 44 goals.

Samuel Eto’o, the former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker, sits in third place with 30 goals in the prestigious tournament.
