Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has been released on bail after spending five days in police custody.

His detention stemmed from a formal complaint filed by Grammy Award winner Burna Boy, who accused Darlington of defamation and cyberstalking.

Deji Adeyanju, the human rights lawyer representing Darlington, confirmed that he was initially arrested in Lagos last Friday before being transferred to Abuja for further detention.

Adeyanju reported that Darlington was released to his lawyer on Tuesday evening after fulfilling the bail conditions imposed by the authorities.
