A Kuje Magistrate Court has granted bail to House of Representatives member Alex Ikwechegh in the sum of N500,000 following allegations of assault against a Bolt driver, Stephen Abuwatseya.

The incident reportedly occurred outside Ikwechegh’s residence in Abuja.

Ikwechegh, who represents Aba North and South, was arraigned after a video surfaced on social media, allegedly showing him threatening the driver.

The lawmaker’s counsel is set to present the case in court.
