A Nigerian man based in the United States of America has regained his freedom after spending fifteen years in prison.
Tony Ugochkwu who was wrongly sentenced for a crime he did not commit, already served fifteen out of the eighteen years term he was sentenced to serve.
Ugochukwu was charged and convicted for murder but was set free on Tuesday after it was proven that he was a case of wrong identification.

The United States government will chunk out $10 million as compensation to Ugochukwu for being a victim of wrong identity following a court order.
In a similar story, a Federal High Court has ordered the Department of Secret Services, DSS to compensate A Nigerian man with ₦10 million over alleged unlawful detention.
Delta based business man, Anthony Okolie, was detained by the DSS for ten weeks for alleged possession of a SIM card previously owned by one of President Buhari’s, Hanan.
