Residents Rescue Day-Old Baby Abandoned In Niger [PHOTOS]

Residents have called for help, after finding an abandoned baby in Niger State.

While speaking to Daily Trust, the residents revealed that a cry of an infant was heard at the back of some houses in the New Market area of Minna, the Niger State capital.

This made people examine the noise, and discovered an abandoned baby girl around 1am on Monday, November 11, 2024.

One of the residents, identified as Maryam Abdullah noted that a nurse has examined the baby, and revealed she’s in good health.

She said;

“The baby was found at the back of one of the houses at the New Market area around 1am when residents heard her cry. A nurse has been engaged to examine the health of the baby and she has been confirmed to be in good health. So, we want to contact the appropriate authorities to take custody of the baby,”
