Man Stabs 65-Year-Old Caretaker ‘For Being A Wizard’

• A man is currently on the run, after allegedly assaulting an elderly man in Rivers state.

• The suspect was said to have accused the victim of being a witch, before proceeding with the act.

A man, identified as Nnanna has been tagged wanting, after reportedly stabbing another man in Rivers state.

Nnanna was said to have stabbed his neighbor, Mr Monday Reuben, 65 multiple times over allegations of his involvement in witchcraft.

The incident happened, Wednesday, at 37 Okwelle Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It was gathered that Nnana stabbed the suspect on the neck over the allegations, before fleeing the scene.

While speaking, the victim notes that he came back on Wednesday, the next day and stabbed him on the head.

He said:

“I am the caretaker of 37, Okwelle Street, Mile 2 Diobu. Nnanna stabbed me. We were packing sand and I called him to shift one side that we want to pack sand. He picked offence and said why did I call him, that ‘don’t I know I am a witch? And that he was bearing gudge against me and that he will kill me and run away.

“He went and carried bottle and broke it, he came and stabbed me. He stabbed me on the neck Tuesday night. This earlier morning, he barged into my house and stabbed me on the head.

“I am 65years old. I want the Police and security to arrest him and ask him what I did. I have reported to Azikiwe Police Division.”
