  • Residents have been thrown into mourning following the tragic demise of a man in Kano state.

  • Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the mas was rescued unconscious after falling into a well.

A 60-year-old man, Sabi’u Yusha’u Unguwa Uku has been confirmed dead, after reportedly falling and drowning in a well.

The incident reportedly happened in CBN Quarters on Hadejia Road, in Kano state.

Confirming the incident, the PRO of the Kano State Fire service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi said the victim was driving a car belonging to the first wife if the Minister of Defence, and had stepped out to urinate m, but was . unaware of the abandoned well and debris in the area.

He reportedly fell into the abandoned well, thereby leading to his death.

He added the fire service quickly responded to a distress call, and arrived at the scene within 15 minutes.

“Unfortunately, the victim who was rescued unconscious was later pronounced dead on arrival at the Sir Sunusi Hospital.”

“The body was subsequently handed over to CPL Faruku Musa of Dakata Police Division for further investigation,” he said
