The palliative rice, which was suspected to have been released by the federal government during the last Ramadan Kareem had the face of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu on them, and was clearly tagged ‘Not for Sale,’.

Confirming the latest developments to newsmen, the chairman of the agency, Muhuyi Rimin-Gado said the warehouse, which was located on Ring Road in Nasarawa Local Government Area was sealed on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

He added that the warehouse was stockpiled with 28 trucks of the rice allegedly diverted by some individuals found re-bagging the commodity.

In a nutshell, this is a clear form of corruption because this is a property meant for the public. Considering the hardship we have today, somebody has the liver to come and start re-bagging it,” he said.

“We recovered a re-bagging machine for repacking and re-bagging rice meant for the public.
