President Bola Tinubu will depart France on Monday for Cape Town, South Africa, to co-chair the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) alongside South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Scheduled for December 3, 2024, the BNC will focus on a wide range of bilateral, regional, and international issues, building on commitments made during the leaders’ June 2024 meeting in Johannesburg. A ministerial meeting will precede the summit on December 2, 2024, in Cape Town.

The BNC, established in 1999, serves as a platform for fostering cooperation in areas like trade, security, banking, and social sectors.

At the meeting, several agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed. This year’s session marks the 25th anniversary of the Commission.
