A gang of bandits have turned a happy wedding ceremony into a tragedy after abducting the bride.

According to reports, the incident, which happened in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto state saw the bride, alongside four bridesmaids get kidnapped.

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that the incident happened at the Kwaren Gamba near Kuka Teke on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

According to Zagazola Makama, a security analyst, Loyal bandits members and followers of notorious kingpin, Bello Turji were said to be responsible for the kidnap.

The families of the abductees remain distraught, with local youth and elders expressing frustration over the devastating news.

As at the time of filing this report, there has been no update of confirmation from the Police.
