Men of the Lagos state police command have confirmed the arrest of a thief in Lagos state.
According to reports, the suspect, identified as Ifeanyi Okonkwo was arrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) team of the state police.

Okonkwo was reportedly captured on the CCTV, stealing a phone at an eatery on Kafi Street in the Alausa area of Ikeja.
Confirming the arrest, the RRS, through a post on its official X handle said the suspect was arrested after returning to the restaurant a month after commiting the crime.
“The suspect Ifeanyi Okonkwo, on November 7, 2024, was at the restaurant to purchase food but ended up stealing a Samsung A15 mobile belonging to another customer. Unknown to him, he was captured on CCTV while stealthily taking the phone on the counter.

Not realising that people were on the lookout for him, he was at the same restaurant on 5th December where he was spotted and promptly arrested by RRS operatives near the scene.”
The mobile phones has reportedly been recovered from the buyer, while the suspect has been charged to court.
