A Federal High court sitting in Lagos state has sentenced one Anoke Kingsley Roomy to one year in prison for the crime of drug trafficking.
The suspect, who was sentenced on Thursday, December 19 was arrested by the NDLEA during a screening done to people about to board the Ethiopian Airlines at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja on 15, November, 2024.

He was found with 600 grams of tramadol, which he planned to export to Turkey.

Delivering judgement, the presiding judge, Justice Akintayo Aluko, after verifying that Roomy was a first time offender, convicted him after he pleaded guilty to the charge, and sentenced him to 12 months Imprisonment.
The judge ordered the convict to pay the sum of N300, 000, as an option of fine in lieu of the jail term.
