The people of Sokoto state have been thrown into a state of mourning, following a gruesome fire accident.
According to reports, tragedy struck the home of the Sokoto State Government Secretary, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello Sifawa, as he loses his daughter, as well as 3 of his grand children.

This happened in the early hours of Monday, January 6, as fire engulf his home while the family slept.
Although the cause of he fire outbreak is still unknown, the effect is very much devastating.
However, the husband of the SSG’s daughter, Alhaji Muhammadu Yusuf Bello who is a Permanent Secretary in the State Ministry of Youth and Sports survived the inferno.
The state fire service reportedly battled the fire, as they struggled to put it out.
The Sokoto state deputy Governor, Eng Idris Mohammed Gobir, as well as members of the state executive council paid a condolence visit to the SSG.
The burial of the deceased is scheduled to take place at Sheikh Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo Mosque Sifawa at about midnight today at the family home of the SSG.
